Louisiana law gives law enforcement opt out on motor vehicle and driver license records

The Louisiana governor signed HB 1103, a motor vehicle and driver license personal information opt-out for law enforcement. The law, which goes into effect August 2006, offers the option to law enforcement, court officers, their family members and other adults living in their home to withhold the release of personal information on drivers license and motor vehicle to to a third party.

why cant us private detectives be in on the opt-out plan…most everyone knows what kind of “FREAKS” whe have to deal with in our profession.Mabe We all need to get us a lobby to see that this happens,i think the ones we got sure arent going to do this for us!!!!!

Why we ordinary citizens can’t opt out?
Simple..unequal protection of the law..
sometimes known as double standard too.
Either way you look at it.
unequal protection of privacy, or unequal enforcement of accountability.
Any particular reason us ordinary citizens are not allowed to opt out of third party disclosures?
